Southwest Airlines
Southwest worked with ten TikTok creators based in destinations it flies to — Hawaii, Orlando, Chicago, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin — and attached a "book now" button to their videos, letting viewers buy the flight without leaving the app. It ran fourteen weeks in autumn 2024 with agency GSD&M.

What happened
This is the clearest example on this page of influencer marketing collapsing into direct commerce. The usual weakness of a travel campaign is the gap between inspiration and booking, which is where intent leaks away. Putting the transaction inside the video removes the gap entirely.
Choosing creators by destination rather than by follower count is the other notable decision: the creator’s relevance to a route matters more than raw reach when the objective is seats on a specific aircraft.
Southwest ran a second creator programme the same year, "Big Flex", with YouTuber Swagg and Kelsey June Jensen across several channels.

What to take from it
When the platform supports it, put the transaction where the attention already is. Every screen between the video and the purchase costs conversions.
